Every 2 hours,

2 infants are injured by oxygen depravation at birth;

20% die and 25% of survivors are permanently disabled for life.

SAVE A BIRTH, CHANGE A LIFE

Our AfHA Mission

Reduce Harm in the Most Vulnerable

More than 80% of hypoxic (low oxygen levels) birth injuries are preventable using early detection by an obstetric provider proficient in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).

Universal EFM Training

Universal adoption of an adaptive and immersive EFM e-Simulation training program improves early detection of fetal hypoxia, before hypoxic birth injury occurs, increasing safe and healthy births.
